Join us for hands-on fun exploring science, technology, engineering, and math. Geared to children ages 2-5 years

Pet Tales
Eloise will introduce various small pets with information on proper care, housing, diseases and more to help you decide which pet might be most suitable for your family.

Small animals will be present for you to look at and pet, including a: Dog, Cat, Guinea Pig, Rabbit, Chicken, a Small Bird, Rat, and a Baby Goat. (And maybe a surprise animal!) Please call or stop at the front desk to sign up.

Kids Craft Fair
Calling all young crafters! Bring your hand-made items to our Kids Craft Fair.

Each kid vendor will receive tickets to purchase crafts from their fellow vendors. Kid vendors can also exchange their crafts. Kid vendors: please register here to reserve a table. Not a crafter but would still like to attend and see what other kids have made? Each attendee will receive tickets at the door they can use to purchase items! Geared to children ages 5-11

Meet our new kids librarian—Brooke Urbaniak

Brooke’s excited to be here because she loves books!

She has written ten novels, published two, and hopes to publish many more. She has a degree in English and also works as an assistant kindergarten teacher at Sorensen Elementary.

Sensory Story Time

A special story time geared to children on the autism spectrum or with other special needs. Explore books, songs, and movement in a structured, fun environment.
Registration preferreda picture schedule of the upcoming story time will be emailed so you and your child can discuss and plan in advance. Begins Monday, January 8.

Book Babies

Join us for this lively language enrichment story time, which includes songs, rhymes, fingerplays, bubbles, and a short story. Stick around afterwards to socialize and join in a baby-friendly playgroup.

Fridays, 10:30 am; Geared to ages 2-6 (ends Friday, May 11)

It’s never too early to start learning a foreign language, and we will help your child get a jump-start on being multilingual with this story time filled with books, songs and poems—all in French. Join us for 30 minutes of French fun.
Make It At the Library

3rd Saturdays, 10-11:30 am, Geared for families and friends of all ages

(January 20, February 17, March 17, April 21, May 19)

Have you used a green screen? Have you built a tower out of Legos? Have you controlled a robot? You could be an expert tinkerer or someone who has never used a screwdriver. You could be starting kindergarten or looking for something to fill your retirement. This event is for all ages so join us at the library for a time of collaborative building and exploration.

The library will be closed Monday, January 15, for Martin Luther King Day. No regular programs March 28 and April 4.

Get moving with your child to 'music play'! Learn how moving together with your child to music helps to develop their creativity, pre-reading skills, increases their confidence and more.  Children will also be introduced to a variety of musical instruments and concepts.
