Make Your Own Steampunk Jewelry
Have you ever wanted to learn how to make your own earrings, necklace pendants, cuff links, or other jewelry?

We will supply the materials and some hints to help you get started! We will also show you the basics of jump rings and jewelry wire. Our theme is Steampunk, but you are also welcome to bring your own jewelry findings. This program is open to teens and adults. Space is limited, so please sign up at the front desk or call 208-623-5353.

Bunco is an old dice game with rotating teams, making it perfect for passing the time while having fun with friends.
This program is open to teens and adults, so bring family and friends along and meet new people! If you have a favorite game day snack, bring that along to share as well. Our prize for the winner is dice, a bell, and a large fuzzy die to host your own games, too!

Teen Game Day: Choose Your Own Game

1st and 3rd Saturdays, 3-5pm; Geared to ages 11-18 

Two events, same time. Grab your friends and your favorite board, table or card games and let’s play. Play Munchkin, Ticket to Ride, Settlers of Catan or bring a new game for us to try.
Bloxels Club
1st Saturdays, 10-11:30 am, Geared to 10-14 years old

(January 6, February 3, March 3, April 7, May 5)

Minecraft meets Mario meets awesome meets you at your library! Design and build your own video games using the Bloxels building system. Build a physical design using colored blocks, capture it on a device and then play your video game. Coding, storytelling, team building and creativity!

Make It At the Library

3rd Saturdays, 10-11:30 am, Geared for families and friends of all ages

(January 20, February 17, March 17, April 21, May 19)

Have you used a green screen? Have you built a tower out of Legos? Have you controlled a robot? You could be an expert tinkerer or someone who has never used a screwdriver. You could be starting kindergarten or looking for something to fill your retirement. This event is for all ages so join us at the library for a time of collaborative building and exploration.

Pinehurst Library

The library will be closed Monday, January 15, for Martin Luther King Day. No regular programs March 28 and April 4.

Teen Hangout

Begins February 6 and ends Tuesday, May 8 (no program April 3). 1st Tuesday of every month, 4-5 p.m.

Bring a friend along and come and hang out at the library after school. Learn new life skills such as making resumes, banking, cooking and other needed talents.
