Post Falls April Make Stuff: Going To Seed Edition

Self-watering herb planters require very little attention and can keep you supplied with fresh herbs from your own kitchen counter.

Learn how to make a self-watering planter and get starter seeds for a tasty and low-maintenance indoor herb garden. All ages welcome. Please sign up at the front desk.

Athol Little Renaissance Kids, geared to ages 3-6

Tuesdays, January 14th – May 12th, 10:30 AM (No program March 31st)

Preschoolers are curious kids! Indulge their growing minds at Little Renaissance Kids story time where we’ll read one story together, then spend the rest of the time independently exploring weekly topics from the worlds of fine art, math & science, world cultures, and active play!

Athol It Club, geared K-5th grade

Tuesdays, January 14th – May 12th, 4:00 PM (No program March 31st)

The after school club that does “It” all – building, art, science, and technology. It club is always new and features something new to explore every time. Snack provided.

Athol Imagination Explorers, Open to all ages but geared K-6th
2nd Wednesdays of each month, at 10:30 AM (March 11th, April 8th, and May 13th)

Homeschool & online students are invited to join Ms. Bethany for hands-on learning fun. Open to all ages but geared K-6th. Each month is a new topic with new activities.

April – Bugs
May - Ocean

Athol Lego Club for all ages
Once a month on Thursdays, (March 26, April 16th, and May 7th), 4:00 PM

All ages are invited for Lego fun. Each month is a new challenge or theme. Kids are welcome to build for that theme or build their own creation.

Hayden Book Babies and Stay & Play, geared to ages birth to 2 and their caregivers

Mondays, 10:30 am, January 13-May 11 (there will be no program on January 20, February 17, or March 30)

It's never too early to bring your little one to the library! This beginner storytime includes a short story with some favorite songs, rhymes, and fingerplays to help develop a love of language and reading. Stick around afterward for the baby-friendly playgroup to socialize with other young families in our community!

Hayden Sensory Storytime, geared to children ages 8 and under with sensory processing disorders or developmental disabilities and their caregivers

Mondays, 10:30 am, January 13-May 11 (there will be no program on January 20, February 17, or March 30)

Explore books, songs, and movement in a structured and welcoming environment. A therapy dog will join us on the first Monday of the month.

Hayden It Club, geared to K-5th graders

Mondays, 4-5 pm, January 13-May 11 (there will be no program on January 20, February 17, or March 30)

Kids are invited to join us after school for a program that does “it” all from science and technology to art and building. Bring a friend and discover something new every Monday.

Hayden Toddler Tales Wednesdays - Geared to ages 2-3

Wednesdays, 10:30 am, January 15–May 13 (there will be no program on Apr 1)

Your toddler will love this active storytime filled with dancing, flannels, and activities. Stories, songs, games, crafts, and a surprise basket!

Hayden Preschool Storytime, geared to ages 3-6

Wednesdays, 10:30 am, January 15–May 13 (there will be no program on Apr 1)

Come enjoy seasonal stories, songs, a letter of the week, crafts, and lots of interactive activities especially for preschoolers.

Hayden Little Renaissance Kids, geared to ages 3-6

Thursdays, 10:30 am, January 16-May 14 (there will be no program on April 2)

Preschoolers are curious kids! At Little Renaissance Kids we'll read one story, then spend the rest of the time exploring stations from the worlds of art, world cultures, math & science, and the natural world.

Hayden Chess Club, all ages

3rd Fridays, (January 17th, February 21st, March 20th, and April 17th), 4-5 pm

Whether you are an experienced player or brand new to the game, Chess Club is for you. Bring your chess set or borrow one of ours.

Hayden Finger Gym, geared to ages 2-6

2nd & 4th Fridays, 10:30 am January 24-May 8

Drop-in for fun games and activities that will help develop your child's fine motor skills and get their hand muscles ready for writing!

Hayden Storytime Yoga

1st & 3rd Mondays of the month at 2:00 pm. (ongoing through May 4th)

Kids & their caregivers are invited to join Ms. Bethany for stories, songs, games, and basic yoga*.

This program is designed to promote movement and literacy for early learners. Wear comfy clothes.

*Yoga mats provided.

Hayden Gentle Yoga

Every Sunday, 1:00 - 2:00 p.m.

Join us every Sunday afternoon for a peaceful exercise to start your week off right.

Thursday, April 30, 6:00 pm

Come to the library in your pajamas for a special night time storytime. We’ll read books and sing bedtime songs. Be sure to bring your favorite stuffed animal.

Birds and butterflies benefit your garden by eating pests, pollinating plants, and controlling weed growth.

Learn how to make quick and simple butterfly feeders and pinecone bird feeders to keep your winged friends happy and contributing to your garden efforts. All ages welcome. Please sign up at the front desk.
