Facilities Specialist

The Community Library Network is hiring a part-time, 24 hours a week, , PERSI benefitted, facilities maintenance worker. A minimum of two years general maintenance experience is preferred. Candidates should be proficient with irrigation and plumbing systems and comfortable handling basic hand and power tools. H.V.A.C. experience and OSHA training are desirable but not required.

The successful applicant:

  • Understands carpentry, electrical systems, painting and commercial doors
  • Can operate small engine equipment such as snow blowers, power washers and steamers used to remove ice from roofs
  • Follows direction with strong attention to detail and good follow-through
  • Possesses the strength, stamina and mobility to perform heavy physical work inside and outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Has a good driving record and is insurable through the District’s insurance carrier
  • Is comfortable driving a large van and pulling a trailer

The Facilities Specialist works at all libraries in the Community Library Network and is based at the Post Falls Library. Hours are primarily daytime, but some flexibility to adjust for projects is desirable. Click here for a job description.

Youth Services Specialist (Hayden)

The Community Library Network is hiring a full-time, 40 hours per week, youth services specialist for the Hayden Library. This position works collaboratively to plan and deliver activities and programming for children and young adults under the direction of the Youth Services Coordinator. The principal duties are performed in the community, general office, and library environment. See the complete job description.

    The successful applicant:
  • Has a general knowledge of family literacy and child development
  • Is creative, organized and comfortable presenting to children and adults
  • Follows customer service principles, practices and objectives
  • Has knowledge of children's and young adult literature and reading interests
  • Can work independently, as well as part of a larger team

The Youth Services Specialist works at the Hayden Library, but may work at other libraries in the Network as needed. Hours are primarily daytime, but will include some evenings and weekends.

The Community Library Network at Post Falls has two 19.5 hour Circulation Specialist positions available. These jobs include days, evenings and weekends in a three week shift rotation.
